complete it, and mail or fax it to us along with proof of income.
You can also pick up an application form at the Saskatoon Housing Authority or have us mail one to you by calling (306) 668-2700 during regular business office hours: Monday to Friday (excluding holidays) 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
The application must include:
- list of all household members
- verification of all sources of current income
- requested income tax return information
- landlord references
Things to remember when applying
Complete the application by following the instructions attached and supply the Saskatoon Housing Authority with all documentation requested. When an application is completed we will assess your application for eligibility.
Applicants are responsible for contacting the Saskatoon Housing Authority office to update ANY changes of information on their application: address, telephone number, family status, etc.
Our Tenant Services Coordinator will arrange to meet with you. Your housing needs and preferences will be discussed and your priority for the program will be assessed.
Your priority for placement will be determined upon approval of your application.
How priority is decided
Applications are assessed using a point rating system to determine priority for placement. Some of the factors considered are:
- gross monthly/annual income
- adequacy and affordability of current housing
- suitability of current housing
- relevant current circumstances
- units are offered to applicants based on need and suitability, not first-come, first-served.
Emergency housing is not available.

- number of applicants
- housing complex preference
- area preference
- type of unit preference
- unit size required
