Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program (Homeowner RRAP)

Objective

Provides financial assistance to low-income homeowners to complete repairs required to bring their homes up to minimum health and safety standards.

Assistance Available

The maximum forgivable loan will be $16,000 in southern areas of the province and $19,000 in the north. For dwellings without permanent foundations, the maximum forgivable loan is $8,000 in the south and $9,500 in the north.

Forgivable loans are subject to budget availability.

The number of bedrooms refers to the number of bedrooms required to house the members of the household. It does NOT refer to the actual number of bedrooms in the residence. As an example: a single person and a couple would both have a one-bedroom requirement regardless of the size of their home.
